16th January 2010 Windsurfing: Levington Wind Direction: s Wind Stength: 14/18 Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: 5 Sea Temperature: 6 Weather: rain and cloud :( Max Speed: 24.19 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 9.7 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) My first outing of the year and must be desperate to get a posting in January !!! Went to Levington as I could'nt face an open sea session in 4 degrees !!! It started off badly when my wave board fell off my trailer in the marina,it could have been worse and happened on the A 14 !!! Had breakfast in the van with Mag while making my mind up whether to go or not.The rained eased so I put on two wetsuits and rigged up my freeride kit as I could'nt face rigging the x-15 and set off across the river.The first run was none planning but things picked up a little and I had 16 runs back and forth trying not to fall in !!! Not the best day but at least things can only get better from here :) |
